France’s OCEA Shipyard sealed a contract with Ukraine worths €136 million for the supply of 20 patrol boats to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGSU).

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov. At the ceremony, it was announced that the first boat should be delivered by OCEA to the State Border Guard Service in 2021 (it is unclear whether it is French or Nikolayev’s), and in general, the program for building five boats at the Nibulon plant is designed for three years.

Fifteen boats will be built in France’s Vendée while five others will be constructed at Ukraine’s Mykolaiv port, LA Tribune reported Friday.

In addition to the production and supply of ships, the project consists in a comprehensive service offer which includes training of 240 crew members and 120 technical personnel, spare parts and tools required for maintenance during 2 years of operation (or 2400 hours), and technical support in Ukraine within 60 months from the date of delivery of the first ship.
