F-35B jet crashes in South Carolina

USMC confirms the F-35B crash out of VMFAT 501 at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, pilot ejected safely, incident still under investigation. This is the first-ever crash of an F35.
The crash took place about 4 miles west of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina.
The local County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the crash and said it happened at around 11:45am local time.
