Egyptian and Greek Navies Conducted Bilateral Exercises at Mediterranean

Hellenic Navy and Egyptian Navy conducted bilateral passex exercises at Mediterranean during Hellenic Navy ships’ Alexandria port visit. Meko-200HN class frigate HS HYDRA (F-452) and Jason Class LST HS RODOS (L-177) from Hellenic navy participated the exercises, from Egpyt, Oliver Hazard Perry Class frigate Sharm El-Sheikh (F-901) participated as well.

The excersises were conducted within the framework of the plan of the Egyptian Armed Forces General Command to enhance military cooperation with all friendly and brotherly countries.

They also come as part of exchanging experiences with the Greek side, and strengthening the efforts of benefiting from the capabilities of both sides in achieving their common interests.

The naval drills included planning and implementation of a number of special training activities.
