In order to maintain the proficiency and interoperability of UNIFIL Maritime Task Force (FTM) vessel crews, Brazilian Frigate Union (F 45) and Hellenic Frigate Adrias (F 459) participated in operative exercises on 7 August in the Lebanon Maritime Operations Area.
Tactical and light line maneuvering exercises were performed to improve the skills of the officers and especially navigation branch crews during the maneuvers of the ships, as well as the transfer duties at sea.
Brazilian sources commented that the exercises contributed to raising the training level of the participating ships, as well as increasing interoperability and friendships between the Brazilian Navy and the Hellenic Navy.
