Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet has received six new Ka-29 modernized ship-borne combat transport helicopters which underwent scheduled repair at JSC Kumertauskoe aviation manufacturing facility.
The helicopters arrived at Nikolaevka naval air base on Nov 9, being escorted by an An-26 transport aircraft and an Mi-8 helicopter.
The helicopters are equipped with a new tactical command system that includes new acoustic and magnetometric systems, a radio reconnaissance system, an information computation system and an active phased array airborne radar station.
