Pakistan Navy participates in Asad Al Bahr-II exercise in Qatar

Pakistan Navy Ships Alamgir and Azmat visited Port Hamad in Doha, Qatar, during overseas deployment, and participated in bilateral exercise Asad Al Bahr-II with Qatar Emiri Naval Forces, Pakistan Navy announced with a press release.

According to the release, the Pakistan Navy ships were warmly welcomed by senior officers of the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces and Pakistan’s defense attaché upon their arrival.

During the visit, the PN Flotilla Mission Commander called on various dignitaries of the host country. The planning and coordination of bilateral exercises were also undertaken with Qatar Emiri Naval and Air Force officers.

On completion of port visit, the bilateral exercise Asad Al Bahr-II was undertaken between Pakistan Navy and Qatar Emiri Naval Forces ships HUWAR, DAMSAH, and KAAN participated in the training along with aircraft of Qatar Emiri Air Forces.

The exercise was aimed to strengthen bilateral ties, enhance naval collaboration and interoperability among the two navies. Participation in exercise Asad Al Bahr-II manifests the Pakistan Navy’s resolve to work with friendly navies to promote peace and security in the region.

Pakistan and Qatar enjoy close friendly ties and cordial relations. Port visit by PN ships followed by Exercise Asad Al Bahr-II is expected to enhance the bilateral relationship between friendly countries further.
