Indonesian Navy Conducts PASSEX with Republic of Singapore Navy

Indonesian Navy’s KRI Diponegoro-365 held a passing exercise (PASSEX) with the Republic of Singapore Navy ship RSS Tenacious 71 on June 9 in the Java Sea, north of Bawean Island. During the exercise, ships carried out maneuvers and conducted tactical publications and light communication drills.

The RSS Tenacious-71 was en route to Guam while transitting through Indonesian waters. The exercise was focused on tactical maneuvers (OOWEX-COMEX) and Flag and Light Communication Signals (NAVCOMEX) exercise. The exercise enhanced the interoperability between the two navies.

After the exercise, KRI Diponegoro, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Adam Tjahya, escorted the ship until the Masalembo islands. RSS Tenacious-71 continued its journey to its final port of Guam.
