VIDEO: Italian Navy’s Aircraft Carrier Cavour returns to its homeport after RFO

Italian Navy published a video about the Cavour’s welcoming ceremony, on May 5.

Italian Navy’s Cavour aircraft carrier returned to its homeport in Taranto on April 30, after three months of deployment for the Ready for Operations (RFO) Campaign. The carrier was welcomed by the Undersecretary of State for Defense Senator Stefania Pucciarelli. Cavour aircraft carrier is now fully qualified to conduct operational deployment with the fifth-generation fighter F-35B, the short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) variant of the F-35 fighter jet.
