Turkish defense giant Aselsan has successfully delivered the first indigenous electronic warfare system for Yavuz class frigates.
The system which fitted to TCG FATIH frigate under the ‘National Electronic Warfare Suite’ (‘MEHS’) project delivered after the three-week field test program.
All tests of MEHS-1 successfully completed on Dec 5.
MEHS System consists of subsystems called ARES-2NC Electronic Support (ED) System, ASELSAN Decoy Launch System (ASELDAS) and Electronic Warfare Suite. MEHS is also the first Electronic Warfare Suite to be delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces.
