The Italian Navy has selected Leonardo’s Black Shark Advanced (BSA) torpedoes to equip its Todaro-class U212A submarines.
The new equipment is expected to significantly increase the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) capability of the Navy.
Leonardo also will provide associated logistical support services as part of the arrangement.
This latest version integrates an innovative energy production section that can be optimised, according to the use of the system, for training or operational purposes.
