PLA Navy designs drills under “infected area” scenarios

PLAN Frigate Xinyang

As the country that suffered the most from Coronavirus, China has started to design the naval exercises it performed accordingly. Sailors wearing protective masks operate a combat direction system console to make data collection of a simulated infected sea area aboard the guided-missile frigate Xinyang (Hull 501) during a maritime training exercise in waters of the Yellow Sea in early March, 2020. They are assigned to a naval frigate flotilla under the PLA Northern Theater Command.
