Iran Press TV released a video of an American aircraft carrier yesterday (Apr.21), claiming that is captured by the IRGC’s drones during an overflight of the vessel in the Persian Gulf. The Press TV stated that the video is released by IRGC on Wednesday (April 21) and it is vividly portraying Iran’s state-of-the-art advancements in the field of drone technology. It didn’t mention the recording date of the video but it has presented the video as something recent of the carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.
In the video there are EA-6B Prowler aircraft on deck.
U.S. Navy’s Chief of Information (CHINFO) announced that the video is at least 7 years old as the US Navy retired the EA-6B Prowler aircraft in 2015 and it last deployed aboard a carrier in 2014.
